In true RPG style there is always some weird explanation for how the party gets together. You post a response to this entry, asking: "How does (your name here) join the party?" I, and anyone else who cares enough to play the game, will then respond to tell you how you would join the party.

Adrian, a gladiator known for his prowess in the Malefica Mordem Organization games, has the esteemed honor of being the first storyline character to join the party. Having won his gladitorial retirement through competing and winning ten MMO tournaments, he swore to protect the man who sponsored his consecutive wins: the hero's father. This is all prior to the happenings of the game, so Adrian is in fact a member of the party from the beginning.

Another storyline character, K'Arthur hails from the city of Faktenlor, which boasts the largest university in the country. An associate professor of the university, K'Arthur becomes involved in the storyline after students mysteriously begin disappearing. She hires the party, who look notably formidable (and in Adrian's case, intimidating) in a city of scholars, to act as bodyguards while she investigates the disappearances. After the students have been rescued from an underground cult, K'Arthur promises she will return the favor. After the hero's base has been established, she automatically joins as the magic tutor for the hero's army.

How does Myf join the party?

A character that requires a sidequest, Myf is available for recruitment as early as after the purging of the cult in Faktenlor. Bring along the Memorial Dagger (initial equip for hero), a Long Knife (available in Oneson), and Stiletto (available in Suna) to the second floor of the library, where the party will find Myf manhandling a desk. Say you will help her open the desk, and you will lose all three weapons to pry open the desk. Once Myf has gotten into the desk (and to her alchemist kit), she will try to repair the weapons. When she fails, she joins the party out of guilt.

It is suggested that Myf is left at the castle once it is established, as Myf can repair and upgrade the Memorial Dagger as she is not used for storyline events. It is most notable that Myf can create the Myfril Dagger out of the Memorial Dagger, which is the strongest dagger in the game, by the third-to-last war campaign.
