Jade: Jade's first love wasn't curry. In fact, he declines to eat his first favorite food completely because he would always bribe and/or threaten people into giving/cooking it to him. When he left Keterburg, he dissociated himself from many parts of his childhood, including favorite food; it literally left a bad taste in his mouth.

Leon: Leon adored his older brother and took him for granted growing up. Much like Caesar after him, Leon grew up irresponsible and not caring much about his studies; he thought his brother would always be around to shoulder the burden of the family.

Tir: Even though Tir loves Gremio's cooking now, the first time Tir was presented with Gremio's food, he refused to touch it -- not because he hated Gremio or anything, but because he was already a terrible tease so young. When he noticed Gremio tripping all over himself over the fact that he wasn't eating, Tir felt so bad that he ate his already-cold dinner -- not to mention three servings of dessert.

When he was working up the courage to confess to a girl he liked, the girl found out and decided to put him down easy before she moved away with her family. The combination of the girl he liked talking to him and him not saying a word to her convinced Ace that he was in fact a stud and that he was somehow irresistible.
