Hrm...

I'm feeling ... decidedly melancholy right now. I can't concentrate and I don't like it.

My mom's going to have surgery tomorrow ... or today, I guess it is. It's supposed to be a simple procedure, but I worry anyway. That'll means she'll have had surgery twice in as many months. It makes me sad to think about it that way.

What sucks is that I don't think I'll be able to see her before or after; I'll be at work and she'll undoubtedly be in and out so they can go home and pick up my little sister. I guess I'll have to settle with calling.

Maybe that's why I can't do anything, even though I want to. My mind's elsewhere.

Sigh.

i hope things go well with your mom's surgery. even if it's supposed to be 'simple', surgery is still surgery, and it's hard not to worry.
