New layout and a meme
I don't think I've had a new layout for about three years now. Thanks to
nata_de_coco, I now have a lovely new layout with two different setups. I adore how the layouts ended up looking.
Now... Ganked from
gunnhildr:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them~
Prompts chosen:
1.) Albert Silverberg
2.) Yuber/Reincarnated!Albert
3.) Apple & Caesar
4.) Albert & Caesar
5.) Gizel/Sialeeds
6.) Tir/Luc
7.) Troy & Kika
8.) Albert & Sasienne
9.) Shards-verse Albert & Nash
10.) The Wanderers Troupe
Albert
Exceeding Love - HIMEKAMI
"I don't particularly care what you say, or what you think you're trying to prove to me. The answer is still no."
Words never seemed to solve anything with this particular problem. It was some sort of curse that bled into each circumstance that cropped up.
Yuber raised a brow, shrugging his hair over his shoulder once he had finished the intricate motions of braiding. "Prove to you? You're hardly worth anything more than the other mortals that I've been with before. Don't think you receive any sort special treatment."
Although his expression did not change in the slightest, Albert found himself flinching inwardly.
Yuber/Reincarnated!Albert
Headlight Disco – The Click Five
"...Don't tell me you don't know how to dance."
"Why the hell would I learn to dance? I have no interest in what dancing can offer. Especially this provocative type mortals today seem so intrigued with."
Red gave his guardian a disbelieving look, then took his hand and tugged him away from the throng of people near the bar. "Come on."
"If you think this is going to get me in bed with you, you're wrong."
Green eyes flickered. "I'm not losing your damn challenge."
Apple & Caesar
11:11 PM – The All-American Rejects
Caesar was, perhaps unsurprisingly, a bit of a nightowl. Apple teased him that it was a result of his constant napping throughout the day. Also unsurprisingly, Caesar didn't have any problem finding something new to tease his mentor about whenever she chided him over the fact.
Probably because of his terrible habit to have breakfast in the morning and immediately nap afterwards. Or dinner, as he preferred to call it.
Albert & Caesar
Breathing – Yellowcard
Dying had never been on Albert's list of things to accomplish in the next five years. He preferred to keep the possibility as far away from the active part of his mind as possible, even when presented with body counts and reports of entire battalions routed. But it was always in the back of his mind, nagging him. He partly accepted the possibility, if quietly and only in his darker moments.
Watching his brother die had not been anywhere in his plans or equations. Even when they faced each other on the battlefield, miles apart.
He frowned at the nariqua that looked dispassionately at him and Caesar. The rock had knocked him out cold, and the falling pillars had effectively separated him from the fleeing Fire Bringer beyond. If he concentrated, he could hear the Flame Champion yelling.
"Take us out of here," he ordered flatly. The nariqua rolled its eyes, but obeyed.
Gizel/Sialeeds
Mary Jane – The Click Five
Publicly, he took the rumors that Sialeeds was seeing one of the Queen's Knights in stride. 'I wish her the best,' he would tell the dignitaries that brought up the gossip, and then would decline when said dignitaries' daughters tried to flirt with him. Stopped them cold, in some cases.
Privately, the very idea stung him deeply. He would stare out the window of his office for hours at a time and simply reminisce.
Tir/Luc
Easier To Run – Linkin Park
It was hard to ignore the presence of another who shared his plight. Tir was strong, reliable, and a born leader -- but also a compassionate heart that would not hesitate to lend an ear if someone needed it.
Luc never stepped forward, even when it seemed like Tir was blatantly offering him his hand. Those piercing brown eyes that seemed to look into his soul, and at other times right through him, made him incredibly paranoid.
Troy & Kika
Do You Feel Loved? - KOTOKO
An affinity to wind. It seemed natural for pirates, who relied so much on the winds from day to day. Most had an affinity to wind, while it was not uncommon for others to have one towards water. Nalleo picked up his affinity for earth from his father, who inherited it from past generations of miners who had migrated between the pearl coves of Kooluk to the few mines around Middleport.
Hervey was an odd duck with his affinity towards fire. But no one thought Hervey was exactly normal. Especially Sigurd.
Kika often studied the Kooluk sailors that they engaged in. Some seemed well-versed in their elements, from fire to earth to lightning, while others struggled with the most basic of spells.
It was during one fateful night raid of Fort El-Eal, before the giant El-Eal Rune Cannon was installed, when she met him, though she did not know him by face and simply by reputation. His mere presence commanded respect even as he fought in his sleeping clothes, a borrowed sword in hand as he shouted out to the scrabbling soldiers.
She lost a few good men that night to the Cyclone Rune the man had been wearing.
She was not surprised when, years later, Brandeau asked her if she had been suicidal that night. After all, he said, even he was not foolish enough to cross swords with the Child of the Sea God.
Albert & Sasienne
real emotion – Koda Kumi, Final Fantasy X-2
“We are not having more children.”
“You keep changing your mind, you know. Not that I’m really surprised anymore.”
“The kids worry about that. They’re used to you flying off the walls at all time of the day. Especially with the newest additions to the house.”
Sasi’s tail twitched at the mentioning, but she turned her attention back to the meal she was busily cooking. Malus was in bed with the flu, and Aza had all but demanded for dinner at 4:30. Both of them knew it was just an excuse to have dessert early, but Sasi had it planned out to cook something that would take a long time.
Let it be said that Albert was saddened by Sasi’s decision to roast a turkey.
So was Leanne, for that matter. But Sasi was still bitter that Tibarn had turned their roof into a glorified roost. To herself, she swore that she would shove the damn giant bird into the oven if given half a chance and a giant net.
Shards-verse Albert & Nash
Heaven’s A Lie – Lacuna Coil
He ran to the boy as he crumpled to the floor, staring in horror at the supposed hero that stood over him. “What the hell did you do?!” he shouted, shoving the raven-haired man aside and gathering the boy in his arms. Albert’s entire body was lax, and if not for the slight rise and fall of his chest, Nash would have assumed him dead.
“He was summoning Yuber from outside the veil,” Tir intoned, lowering his swallow and meeting the blond’s gaze steadily. “He would have doomed everyone in the castle.”
“There’s no possible way for him to; he’s a child,” Nash vehemently defended, though his attention kept returning to the boy who had just been impaled.
“Wrong. Leknaat supplied him with a Pale Gate Rune without anyone else’s knowledge, and the naïve boy kept it to himself.” Those golden eyes were all steel in resolve. “He was being swallowed by the spell. Any longer and he would have turned himself into a gateway for the black knight. At least now he can die with his mind intact.”
The Wanderers Troupe
Fire At Midnight – Blackmore’s Night
Julanar was an amazing singer. Her voice brought with it all the imagination and passion of a storyteller weaving a story. Cillian’s fingers skillfully flowed over guitar strings, strumming chords to accompany the sonorous tune.
Factival sat uncomfortably between Kin and Canthus as the rest of the troupe enjoyed the music. He had never partaken in any types of concerts or theaters while attending the academy, so the experience was both new and awkward for him. Being in unfamiliar company made the entire situation that much more awkward, though he did not tell any of those with him he concerns.
They were already risking a lot just taking him in.
He started as a rattling sound rang out, and his attention averted from Julanar to the source of the voice. That disturbed healer that had greeted him so … uniquely was thumping a tambourine noisily.
Fact couldn’t help but notice that Lucifer, for all of his insanity, could keep a steady beat. It was simply amazing.
