Albert and Caesar's middle names have been sitting in my head for years. The allusions to Julius Caesar had to be made!
They take their mother's name because there's controversy over Albert's death, but the twins really don't keep either--their mother is taken back into the noble family and the twins are quite literally left to fend for themselves. I've really gotta ... finish writing their backstory...
