All I will say about the game for now is...

I can just imagine the fanbratty "OMG THEY DON'T PRONOUNCE THE ORG'S NAMES AS I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE SQUARE I HAET U" rants. Mar-luu-shaa. Zex-ee-in. If it was to be pronounced Mar-luck-see-ah, they would have romanized his name Ma-ru-ku-shi-a, not Ma-ru-sha.

It's not the end of the world. Calm down.

I don't hate them 'cause of how they pronounced it. XD; That would be ridiculous, even for our fandom. It just sounds strange to me, but I mean it's not gonna stop me. I still mispronounce Bahamut and Leviathan. :|;

I used to pronounce "chocobo" as "chuu-cuh-boo." I still think it sounds cuter than "chocobo," but I've switched over. ^^;

I... can't in good conscience pronounce that name in any way other than "Sigh-fur." It's just the way I always have. That, and I don't like that game enough to mend my ways. ;)

Could be. I just know there are some names in that series that I likely butcher due to learning them much earlier on in life. Like dubious said up there, I too say Bahamut wrong as far as I know. I mean, hearing it said aloud in FFXII the way they pronounced it weirded me out. ;)

I'm not even that bothered by it, but maybe it's because I played and beat the Japanese version a year ago, so I'm used to "Mar-loo-sha". I think that, given the time this game was put together for America, they did a great job, especially when considering that Osment has aged considerably; I like the fact that his voice squeaks in one scene, if I recall.

i knew about marluxia because i've seen the japanese for the names... unlike english, japanese only has one pronunciation for a given set of kana, so... yeah. no room for confusion there.

i was definitely a bit weirded out the first time i saw that, though. i originally thought it would be pronounced mar-lucks-ia (or something similar).
