Back in the dorms
Sep. 23rd, 2005 11:40 pmBack in the dorms now. I've forgotten several things at home (most importantly, my rugs, bedsheets, and food), but I'm totally unpacked and ready for school. Classes don't start up until Wednesday, but I think I have several things I can do before things get rolling.
Our new room is odd. It's on the top floor (eighth floor) of the dormitory, with a great view of the shopping district near the university. I can watch the birds fly by or underneath the window, which is kinda strange in itself. Whoever lived in the room last spring didn't clean up at all; I had to clear several cobwebs and clean off dust before I unpacked everything. Ugh.
Went to dim sum with Aziel, Karine, and Calvin after checking into my room. Then we went to Uwajimaya and got sweet rice, and I went home to unpack. After I [finally] finished unpacking, I went online for awhile before taking a nap. And then went out to dinner at 8 PM.
Bleeeh. The new dorm room is going to take some getting used to. My side of the room is almost exactly the same, but Kathryn's bed is on the opposite side of the room and the closet is where her bed used to be. Very odd, very odd.
