Turn your taste upside down?

I discovered today that an old friend of mine from way back in elementary school is going to the University of Washington. He moved away back after fifth grade, and then I heard a few girls talk about him by the time high school came around. Now, in the second week of my Freshman winter quarter in college, he comes up to me in my American Ethnic Studies and asks me, "Excuse me, are you Athena?"

I stared at him as I said yes, to which he asked addressed me by my full name, and then "Do you remember me? I'm Ryan." I finished off with his last name, and then "Oh my god" before we hugged.

I'll be blatantly honest when I say that the second thought thought that ran through my head while I hugged him was, "A cute guy is hugging me. Oh my god." The first thought was much nicer, more friendly than superficial. *laughs*

In other news, I tried out dnL, the 7up 'opposite' that's come out. It tastes like a glorified Mountain Dew ... although that's not necessarily a bad thing. ^^;
