First day back at school
Sep. 29th, 2004 04:13 pmHoly crap, I can't believe how daunting Physics seems. The department's taking up a new method of teaching involving tutorials online and stuff, and there's just tons of homework on two different online programs and an electronic controller system that keeps track of whose answering questions in class and who isn't and three midterms and and and-- *brain explodes*
In comparison, the Physics labs sound so much easier than the actual lecturing. *sighs*
My CSE prof is cool. He's new to the university and he's hoping to make the class "fun with a little pain" to keep boredom at bay. His teaching style certainly keeps me interested, which I'm glad for. I just hope the actual script-writing doesn't destroy me.
I have Calc, Physics Mechanics, and Tech Writing all in a row. My Calc prof stutters to no end and uses "And" more times than ... well, more times than Avram used to. When he tried to crack jokes, I wanted to bang my head against the desk because I knew what the joke was gonna be about before he reached the punchline.
Tech Writing looks like it's gonna be fun. If I wasn't so distressed about the other classes, I'd be quite happy with taking a TC course finally. The TA is sarcastic and witty, and she definitely makes it easy for me to concentrate in the class.
Oh ... and I should write about the weirdo that called Kathryn and my dorm room last night... I'll paste the convo that I had online about it.
