Whoo! Friday the 13th!
May. 13th, 2005 11:45 pmI don't even know when to say my day "started" for today... I was up until 3 AM, then woke up at 5:45 to register for autumn classes. Got the classes that I wanted (including Japanese 111), then I went back to sleep until ... 11? I ended up skipping my three classes for the day, but ... guh, I was so out of it and wanted to get to the research symposium.
The research symposium woke up me immediately. ^_^ Susan, Dr. Atman, Dr. Adams, Jessica, and some of the other CELT members came by and took pictures of us (and went on about how exciting and fun the symposium would be fun us, which was comforting). I was there for about two hours and was around to watch Tarrah, Diana, and Rebecca leave. I saw Shannon come in for the 3-5:30 session, but I wonder if Michael ever showed up... I also saw Yasuko and Effie, whom I haven't seen for awhile. @_@ Well, Yasuko I saw earlier this week, but I haven't seen Effie since ... autumn quarter...? x_x
Danny showed up and surprised me at the symposium! He helped the time go by much faster, and he was sweet enough to ask questions of our research (which I was more than happy to answer =P). He walked me back to my dorm so that I could meet up with my family, who was there to see our research.
So ... my boyfriend has met my family. And my family has met my boyfriend. Ack. x_X
We stayed around Mary Gates Hall, waiting for Aziel. He didn't show up for about ... what, an hour? ... and he got to meet Danny, too. I think Danny gets along best with Avram, since they know about the same types of games and such. ^^
Danny had to go home when we were finally planning on leaving, which was around 4 PM, I think. Danny and I made plans to eat out Thai next time we go out, and then maybe go out to the bayside when the weather's good.
My family drove to Lynnwood and ate dinner, then went to Fry's Electronics, which was absolutely huge. x_X I looked at the game section (of course), and fussed over the prices of Suikoden IV and Dynasty Warriors 5. I won't be buying the games until summer, but I doubt Dynasty Warriors 5 will go down ten bucks by then. =\ Man.
Hmm ... and now it's 2 AM into the 14th, according to my clock. Gah.
Things to do this weekend:
-- read Fiorina
-- start writing paper on "The Yellow Wall-Paper"
-- write something (maybe write more of Naruto fic? Suikoden stuff? Revise Dynasty Warriors stuff? Dunno...)
-- e-mail Lynn for History and Poli Sci
